Source standards
Legal, regulatory and factual claims should cite primary sources wherever possible. Preferred sources include legislation.gov.uk, GOV.UK, the Housing Ombudsman, the Regulator of Social Housing, HACT, recognised professional bodies, academic research and direct provider publications.
Third-party commentary may be used where it adds professional interpretation or practical learning, but it should not be presented as official guidance.
Commentary and interpretation
The hub provides practical commentary on operating models, evidence pathways, board assurance, technology and sector examples. Commentary is not legal advice and should not be treated as a substitute for qualified professional advice.
Contributor standards
- Contributors should disclose relevant roles, affiliations and commercial interests.
- Submissions should avoid resident-identifiable information.
- Claims about outcomes, performance or technology should be supported with context.
- Editorial changes may be made for clarity, accessibility, consistency and risk management.
Corrections and updates
Corrections are welcomed. Content may be updated when legislation, official guidance, sector practice or source links change. Significant corrections should be handled transparently where the original wording could have materially misled readers.
Use of artificial intelligence
Artificial intelligence tools may be used to assist with research support, drafting, summarisation, formatting or editorial workflow. Substantive public content should be reviewed by a human editor before publication.
