We aim to make information and tools usable with keyboards, screen readers, mobile browsers and print.
What is included
Semantic headings and landmarks, a skip link, labelled forms, visible keyboard focus, text-based status badges, responsive layouts, reduced-motion support and printable guidance. Core sources, nation pages, filters and search work without JavaScript. The property has both visual hotspots and labelled room buttons. Evidence charts have accompanying data tables; their colour is not the only way information is conveyed. Interactive examples, dynamic filters and local exports require JavaScript, with readable starting content or alternative links provided where practical.
Known limitations
Wide comparison tables scroll horizontally on smaller screens; equivalent nation information is available as ordinary pages. The IoT explorer contains a visual property illustration, with accompanying text controls and sensor descriptions. External PDFs, membership recordings and third-party pages may have different accessibility standards.
We are working towards WCAG 2.2 AA. The website has not had an independent accessibility audit, so we do not claim full conformance. Please report any barrier you encounter.
Language and simpler routes
The site’s main content is currently English. Official English tenant guidance links to translated and British Sign Language materials. The Scottish Government provides its own tenant materials. We do not describe machine-translated content as approved legal guidance.
