Your information and choices.
You can read the Knowledge Centre without an account. Contact forms are for editorial enquiries, not private housing case files.
Who to contact
The editor and privacy contact is Martin Moody at hello@awaabslaw.org.uk. Use that address for questions about information you have provided or to request access, correction or deletion, subject to applicable requirements.
What the site uses
These pages do not use advertising or analytics trackers, embedded social feeds or marketing cookies. The contact pages use a short-lived session cookie, ALKCSESSID, for form security and submission messages. The cookie expires when the browser session ends and is used only for the form’s security and confirmation messages.
The property explorer, evidence lab, process exercise, evidence checklist and readiness checklist run in your browser. Their selections are cleared on reload; downloads stay on your device. The lab uses illustrative example records and explanatory feedback. Its AI-style summary exercise does not call an AI service or send information to an AI provider. The interactive tools do not save your choices to an account or browser storage.
Contact and contributions
The form submits your name, reply email, message, public link and any optional role or interest to the editorial email system. Messages are sent by email; the site does not keep a separate message database or accept attachments. A successful form response confirms the server accepted the email for sending; it does not guarantee final mailbox delivery. Form-security tokens and submission timing are held in the session. To reduce spam, the form also uses a keyed hash of the connection address and recent submission times. It does not keep the raw address or message in that security record. Address-linked times are removed when older than 15 minutes at the next submission; a separate site-wide count covers the previous hour.
Correspondence is used to respond, check a proposed contribution or correct content. Editorial contact details are not automatically published, sold or added to a marketing list. Attribution for original contributions is agreed before publication. Processing is based on the legitimate interests of operating the resource and dealing with requested correspondence, where applicable.
Host and email records
The hosting and email services may process IP addresses, request details, security logs and message records as part of operating the service. Correspondence is kept while it is needed to answer an enquiry, manage a contribution or correction, or meet a legal requirement. Hosting and email providers also maintain operational records and backups under their service arrangements. Contact the editor for information about records relating to you or a request to remove them.
External links and your choices
Opening an external source takes you to that publisher’s service and privacy terms. We do not automatically load its tracking on this site. Your browser or email provider may have its own settings and policies. You can request access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion or restriction where applicable. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact the editor using the address above. You can also raise a data-protection concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Your choice to contact us
Providing a message is voluntary. We need a reply address to respond to an enquiry. There is no automatic marketing subscription or automated decision about a person’s housing rights. Original contributions are not published without agreeing attribution.
Keep residents protected
Do not send addresses, health information, photographs or case files about residents. Ask an appropriate landlord, adviser or complaint body to handle that information through its own secure channel.
